How We Develop Swimmers
The AquaHawg Experience
We believe great swimming programs should develop more than faster swimmers. At RAC, that starts with creating an experience where swimmers are taught well, challenged appropriately, supported as they compete, and known as individuals.
The RAC Approach
More Than
Faster Swimming
The experience matters as much as the result.
We want AquaHawgs to receive excellent coaching, understand what they're learning, feel supported through challenges, and know that the people coaching them care about who they are — not simply what time appears on the scoreboard.
Teach the Sport
You'll Be
Coached
Swimming should be taught, not simply assigned.
AquaHawgs learn the sport while they train. We want swimmers to understand what they're working on, recognize when something changes, and become increasingly capable of taking ownership of their swimming.
Learn to Compete
We'll Help You
Learn to Race
Competition is something swimmers learn to navigate.
We'll help AquaHawgs learn to approach racing with confidence, respond to challenges, handle both successes and disappointments, and use each competitive experience to keep moving forward.
Develop Athleticism
Athlete First.
Swimmer Second.
Swimmers are athletes.
We want AquaHawgs to develop the strength, coordination, movement, and physical confidence that support great swimming. That also means learning how to recover, take care of their bodies, and understand that rest is part of being an athlete.
Developing the athlete gives swimmers a stronger foundation for training, racing, recovery, and whatever the sport asks of them.
Known & Supported
Meet Them
Where They Are
What one swimmer needs may be very different from what another needs.
Our job is to understand the swimmer in front of us and provide the coaching, challenge, encouragement, and opportunities that make sense for them. As their needs change, the experience should change with them.

The Goal
Capable.
Confident.
Connected.
Swimming is the vehicle. Developing young people is the larger goal.
We want AquaHawgs to become more capable in what they do, more confident in what they can handle, and more connected to the people around them. Those qualities matter in swimming — and far beyond it.
