AquaHawg Training Groups
Find Your Place
Every swimmer comes to RAC with different experience, goals, and needs. Our job is to help each swimmer find the training environment that makes sense for them right now — and provide great coaching when they get there.
How Groups Work
The Right
Experience Now
Experience Now
Training groups help us provide the right experience for the swimmer in front of us.
Group placement considers age, swimming experience, skills, goals, and what kind of training environment will best serve the swimmer. Rookie groups serve swimmers 10 and under, Junior groups serve swimmers ages 11–14, and Senior groups serve swimmers 14 and older.
New swimmers begin with an evaluation so our coaches can get to know them in the water and help determine the best place to start.
Rookie Groups · 10 & Under
A Great Place to Begin
Rookie groups are designed to give young swimmers a positive introduction to competitive swimming. Swimmers receive hands-on coaching, learn the fundamentals of the sport, and begin building the skills and confidence that make swimming more enjoyable.

Two Ways to
Swim With RAC
Swim With RAC
Beginning with our Junior groups, swimmers can choose between Performance and Flex.
All swimmers 10 and under are part of our Rookie program. Starting at age 11, RAC offers two ways to receive year-round AquaHawg coaching based on the experience that makes the most sense for the swimmer.
Performance Groups
Performance Groups are for swimmers who want swimming to be a consistent part of their year, including athletes who participate in other sports and activities. RAC provides year-round coached practices, regular opportunities to race, athletic development, and a team environment where swimmers are challenged to improve, support the people around them, and take pride in how they show up.
Flex Groups
Flex Groups provide access to experienced AquaHawg coaches with a schedule designed to offer more flexibility for swimmers participating in other activities, school swim teams, or summer swim teams. Swimmers can keep learning, improving, and staying connected to the sport throughout the year while swimming fits alongside the other things they want to do.
Junior Groups · Ages 11–14
More Coaching. More Opportunity.
Junior groups give swimmers the opportunity to keep learning, improving, and becoming more confident in the sport. Performance and Flex options allow families to choose the AquaHawg experience that best fits the swimmer and the role swimming plays in their year.
Junior Flex
Expert Coaching. Flexible Schedule.
Junior Flex provides year-round access to AquaHawg coaching for swimmers who want swimming to remain part of their year while participating in other activities, school swimming, or summer swimming. Practices focus on quality coaching and skill development so swimmers can keep learning, improving, and enjoying the sport throughout the year.

Junior White
PROVE IT.
Junior White provides a year-round environment for swimmers ready for more training, regular competition, and greater athletic challenge. As swimmers get older, being a great teammate starts to matter just as much as doing a great job themselves. We want swimmers who are willing to do hard things, make the change when they're coached, learn to speak for themselves and communicate with their coaches, encourage the people around them, and help make the group better because they're there.

Senior Groups · 14 & Older

Senior swimmers can choose the AquaHawg experience that best supports the role swimming plays in their lives — from a complete year-round training and competition experience to focused coaching that works alongside high school swimming and other activities.
Senior Flex
Coaching With More Flexibility
Senior Flex gives swimmers access to experienced AquaHawg coaches with more flexibility for high school swimming, other activities, and the rest of their lives. Swimmers can continue refining technique, improving starts and turns, developing racing skills, and building fitness while staying connected to the sport throughout the year.

Senior Hawgs
Advanced Year-Round Swimming
Senior Hawgs provides a complete year-round training and competition experience for swimmers who want to pursue the sport at an advanced level. Swimmers are prepared for the training, competition, and independence of collegiate swimming, with opportunities to compete from the high school and state levels through sectional, national, and beyond.
College swimming doesn't have to be the goal for every Senior Hawg, but the experience is designed so that swimmers who do want to continue competing in college are prepared for that opportunity.
Elite Coaching. Every Day.
Senior Hawgs is the only training group in Arkansas coached by two coaches who have been named to the USA Swimming National Team Coaches List.

Find Your Place
We'll Help You Figure Out Where to Start.
You don't need to know which group is right before contacting RAC. An evaluation gives our coaches a chance to meet your swimmer, see them in the water, and recommend the training environment that makes the most sense for them right now.
