Practice Schedule Changes

  • Tuesday 7/15 - Senior Hawgs and Senior Prep will not have morning practice.  Senior Prep will practice from 2:00-4:00 PM at the Jones Center.  No other changes to the practice schedule.
  • Wednesday 7/16 - Normal Practice
  • Thursday 7/17 - Future and Junior National swimmers will practice from 5:45-8:00 AM.  State qualifiers will have practice from 7:15-8:00 AM.  Masters will practice from 6:00-7:00 AM.  All other practices are canceled.
  • Friday 7/18 -  Future and Junior National swimmers will practice from 8:30-10:30 AM at the Jones Center.  All other practices are canceled.
  • Saturday 7/19 - Future and Junior National swimmers will practice from 9:00-11:30 AM at the Jones Center.  All other practices are canceled.
  • Monday 7/21 - Senior Hawgs and Senior Prep will have normal practice.  All other practices are canceled. 
  • Tuesday 7/22 - Normal Practice
  • Wednesday 7/23 - Normal Practice
  • Thursday 7/24 - Normal Practice
  • Friday 7/25 - Final Practice of Season - Fun at Springdale Aquatic Center - All Swimmers/All Groups from 7:30-8:45 AM.  Zones and Junior National Swimmer will practice at the Jones Center from 9:00-11:00 AM.

Safe Sport – Athlete Protection Training

USA Swimming Safe Sport offers an Athlete Protection Course for Swimmers, Coaches, Parents, and Officials.  In order for the AquaHawgs to maintain our status as a Safe Sport Recognized Club, we need parents and swimmers to participate in this course.  If you took this course previously, it does expire every year.  Please go to USA Swimming Learn to complete this course or check your status.  We need swimmers and parents to take this course by Thursday, May 17.

Arkansas Long Course Championships

We will be hosting the Arkansas Long Course Championships in Fort Smith this year.  We need everyone’s help to make this meet a success. Please make sure you are fulfilling your volunteer requirements.

 

Something important to note, there are relays competing on Thursday. (Thursday Relays)

State Meet Breakfast

We will have our Annual State Team Breakfast on Thursday, July 17.  We will hand out state team shirts and goodie bags at this event.  The State Team Breakfast takes place on the SAC Pool Deck at 8:00-8:45 AM.

Region VIII Summer Sectionals

The AquaHawgs had a great showing at Region VIII Sectionals.  The AquaHawgs finished in 6th Place overall, with the girls finishing in 2nd Place and the boys finishing in 15th Place! We were so pleased with how well all of our athletes performed.

The Ragnarok

While we had several senior swimmers at Region VIII Sectionals, our younger athletes represented the AquaHawgs well at the Ragnarok in Joplin, MO.  The AquaHawgs went home with several sets of Viking Caps and a great time at the pool party!
