AquaHawgs Coaching Announcement

John Moseley

Dear Razorback Aquatic Club Families,

We are proud to introduce the newest additions to the Razorback Aquatic Club coaching staff: Jim Whitehead and Tony Carroll. Both bring coaching experience, national-level recognition, and a deep commitment to the growth and success of every athlete in our program.  The two began coaching together two years ago and are excited to be able to continue working together here in Arkansas.

Coach Tony Carroll

Before joining RAC, Tony held significant roles in the swimming community. He was the Age Group Head Coach at Nashville Aquatic Club, a key leader at YOTA Swim Team in North Carolina, and part of the elite coaching staff at Lakeside Swim Team in Louisville, where he was named twice to the USA Swimming Junior National Team. This year, Tony has been named a finalist for ASCA's Age Group Coach of the Year, an honor awarded at the ASCA World Clinic in September!

Coach Jim Whitehead

Jim comes to the Hawgs after serving as Head Coach and Executive Director at Club Wolverine, a program with a strong national presence. Before that, Jim spent eight years as Head Coach at Michigan Lakeshore Aquatics (MLA), where he led the club to five consecutive years of Silver Medal recognition and was named to USA Swimming's National Team as a Coach four times.

Their coaching philosophy focuses on helping swimmers grow at their own pace while enjoying the process. They value the power of the team and believe that a strong, supportive environment brings out the best in everyone. By meeting each swimmer where they are in their commitment and goals, they provide support for individual aspirations while fostering a sense of belonging. They aim to help every swimmer build confidence, improve, and have fun in the sport.

Please join us in giving them a warm Razorback welcome!
