AquaHawgs Season Starts Tomorrow

John Moseley

We are very excited to kick off practice for most of our groups tomorrow.  We have several other training groups that will return on Saturday.  Make sure you follow our Fall Practice Schedule.  We will be evaluating our schedule over the first week or two to make sure we balance lane space to the best of our abilities.  If we make permanent adjustments to the schedule, we will try and give ample notice for planning purposes.

For those swimmers that are new to the swimming and the AquaHawgs, every Monday, we send out a weekly newsletter titled the “Monday Message” that provides families with any changes to the week, meet entry deadlines, and swimmer recognition.  We try to make sure all families are aware of everything going on with the team.

Season Kick Off Party – Saturday 8/23

We will have our Season Kick Off Party on Saturday, August 23 from 11:00-1:00 PM in the Jones Center West Parking Lot.  We will have volleyball, basketball, and all sorts of lawn games for swimmers and families.  Chuzos Sabor Latino, Atomic Dogs, Beaver Tails, and Cosmic Lemon will all have their food trucks set-up for this event.  You will have an opportunity to meet our two new coaches, Tony Carroll and Jim Whitehead!  Stop by for a little bit or stay the whole time!

New Board of Directors

We would like to welcome Bill Dietrich, Jessica Slater, and Jason Stewart to the Razorback Aquatic Club Board of Directors.  Thank you to everyone that voted in the election that took place over the course of last week.

Safe Sport for Parents

We need several parents to complete the Parents Guide to Misconduct in Sports.  We lack about ten parents in order to complete our USA Swimming Safe Sport Recognition.  Please take thirty to forty-five minutes to complete this course.  Please login to your USA Swimming account -> Go to the Education Tab -> Look for "Parents Guide to Misconduct in Sports"

Meet Schedule

We have been meeting to finalize our meet schedule for the upcoming season.  We will be posting these meets over the next day to our website.  As a competitive swim team, we encourage all swimmers to participate in some meets.  This provides our staff the ability to evaluate how our swimmers are progressing.
