Weekly Practice Schedule Changes

Monday 9/1 – All practices are canceled in observance of Labor Day.

Morning Practices for Senior Hawgs

Senior Hawgs will begin morning practices on Wednesday, September 3.  They will have morning practices on Monday/Wednesday/Friday for the next two weeks.  Senior Prep will begin morning practice in two weeks.

Meet Schedule – 2025-2026 Short Course Season

We have posted our Meet Schedule to the AquaHawgs website.  Each swim meet has its own page with more specifics on the meet.  We have provided some basic information on the meets including which practices groups should plan on attending.  As we receive more information on the meet, we will continue to add it to these pages.

When you look at these pages, you will be able to sign-up to attend once you see the “Edit Commitment“ button.  For more specifics on how to sign up please check out this video guide (Video).  Something important to note, you will be signing up to attend certain/sessions.  Coaches will enter swimmers into event for each meet.

Meet Registration Deadlines

  • Arkansas Open Water Championships – The registration deadline is Wednesday, September 10.
  • AquaHawgs Red & White Meet – The registration deadline is Wednesday, September 24.
  • TST Fall Round-up – The registration deadline is Wednesday, September 24.
  • CSC Jim Devine Invitational – The registration deadline is Wednesday, September 24.

Early Season Observations

We are so happy to be back into the groove of training.  We have had a been able to watch all training groups and reflect positives and areas for improvement.  We have observed an imbalance with lane space with our current practice schedule.  Some groups are extremely crowded in terms of number of swimmers in each lane. Our staff is currently working on modifying our Fall Practice Schedule to better balance lane space.  Almost every training group will see some adjustments to when they practice.  We are still reviewing these changes and hoping to get some updates from our facility partners on additional lane opportunities.

During the first week and a half of practice, we have also been co-mingling with some of our training groups.  We are taking these opportunities to observe how certain groups and certain groups of swimmers handle training together.  We will continue to provide opportunities like this throughout the season. 

Arkansas Open Water Championships

Arkansas Swimming has sanctioned the first ever Arkansas Open Water Championship.  This event will take place at Beaver Lake, by the dam, on Saturday, September 20.  We have posted the Welcome Letter and Meet Information to our website.  You are required to have qualifying times from pool swims in order to enter this event.  The deadline for registering is Wednesday, September 10.  We would like all eligible swimmers to attend this event. 

Swim Oz Mile Swim

For parents and masters’ swimmers having FOMO about not being able to participate in the Arkansas Open Water Championships, never fear, because the Oz Mile Swim will be taking place on Sunday, September 21 at the same location.  Registration for this event is handled on the Swim Oz Website.

If you have questions for your swimmer’s coach, please feel free to contact them directly via email.  We ask all parents not to interrupt coaches while they are in the middle of practice.
