GENERAL INFORMATION
MISSION
The Northwest Arkansas Summer Swim League brings together summer recreational swim teams from the Northwest Arkansas region in the spirit of healthy competition and good sportsmanship.
SWIMMER ELIGIBILITY
USA SWIMMING MEMBERS – Swimmers who have competed in a USA Swimming sanctioned meet since September 1 of the previous year and who have achieved one (1) or two (2) NAG "B" Motivational Time Standards are not eligible to compete in those events in an NWASSL Meet. Swimmers who have achieved three (3) “B” NAG Motivational Time Standards or better in a USA Swimming Meet are not eligible to compete in NWASSL Meets.
SWIMMER AGE-UP DATE
The age of each swimmer as of June 1 will determine a swimmer’s age for the season.
TEAM MEMBERSHIP
Teams interested in participating in the NWASSL should contact Anita Parisi, AnitaParisi@sbcglobal.net by February 1 prior to the upcoming seasons.
MEETINGS
Representatives from each team will meet following the season (August or September). This meeting is used to provide feedback on the previous season and discuss rules and format changes.
Representatives from each team will meet in January or February to discuss the upcoming season. Teams will determine the format for the NWASSL Championship Meet (Split Divisions/Mega Champs). The date and venue for the champs meet will also be determined. Teams should also have an idea of when they are able to host and attend meets.
DUAL MEET SCHEDULE
Teams should submit dates that they can host to Anita Parisi, AnitaParisi@sbcglobal.net by February 1. A tentative Meet Schedule will be sent to teams by February 14. Any adjustments should be addressed promptly. The goal is to have a final Meet Schedule out by March 1.

DUAL MEET INFORMATION
PRE-MEET OBLIGATIONS
The host team should contact all visiting teams seven (7) days prior to the start of the meet. Host teams should inform teams of the warm-up times, meet start times, entry limits, and volunteer needs.
ENTRY LIMIT
All swimmers may swim a maximum of two (2) or three (3) individual events and one (1) relay. The host team will determine the number of events allowed based on pool size and meet size.
ENTRY DEADLINE
Entry Files must be submitted using the Team Manager or Team Unify. Entries must be submitted to the host team 48 hours prior to the start of the meet.
SEEDING
All events will be seeded prior to the start of the race.
ENTRY REPORT
Entry Reports should be sent to all visiting teams the night prior to the start of the meet. This helps teams mark their swimmers with Event/Heat/Lane.
VOLUNTEER
Volunteers are needed for all swim meets to take place. All Meets need at least one (1) Official, one (1) Head Timer, and two (2) Timers per Lane.
DECK ENTRIES
Deck entries will be allowed where space is available. Additional heats will not be added. Deck entries must be submitted prior to the first race.
AWARDS
Heat Winner ribbons will be awarded to the winner of every heat.
SCORING
Dual Meets will not be scored.
RESULTS
The host team will email the Meet Manager Results File and Meet Backup to all visiting teams and John Moseley, John@aquahawgs.org within 48 hours of the conclusion of the meet.
CHAMPIONSHIP INFORMATION
ENTRY LIMIT
