Training Group Meet Schedules
During our parent meeting, we said that we would create meet schedules for each training group. Take a look at the Training Group Meet Schedules so that you are able to plan accordingly for your swimmer’s meets.

Disqualifications at Swim Meets
We have received several emails about disqualifications since our Red & White Showdown. Our coaches are here to explain why your swimmer was disqualified (DQ) in a race. In most cases, we see these disqualifications as they occur. We encourage all swimmers to talk with their coaches immediately following each race to get feedback on their race and also explain a disqualification if it occurs.
As a parent, if you have questions on a disqualification, please reach out to your swimmer’s coach directly. Parents are not permitted to question an official directly about a disqualification. It is also important to note, officials are not permitted to look at a video and reverse a decision.
Disqualifications occur for a variety of technical reasons. They also occur for swimmers of all ages and at some of the biggest stages. If you are curious of the different areas your swimmer could be disqualified, please reference the USA Swimming Disqualification Report.

Officials Informational Session
We have a goal of adding ten new officials this season. On Wednesday, October 23 at 5:30 PM, Alex Odesskiy will be hosting an official Informational Session with anyone interested in becoming an official. Alex is the AquaHawgs Head of Officials and on the Arkansas Swimming Officials Committee. This will be a great opportunity to learn more about this process and what it entails to be an official.
_______
T-Shirts for AquaHawgs
On Monday, October 21, we will have our last pick up day for shirts. Jana will be set up upstairs outside the balcony. If you don't get your shirts next week, you will need to pick them up from your swimmers lead coach after the pick up.

Racers Go Pink! Halloween Meet
This weekend, we travel to Benton, AR for the Racers Go Pink! Halloween Meet. This tends to be a very fun meet for swimmers of all ages. We will wear White AquaHawgs Shirts on Friday, Red AquaHawgs Shirts OR Halloween Costume on Saturday, and Black Shirts on Sunday. We will also wear White AquaHawgs Swim Caps all weekend. Please make sure your swimmer is ready to get in the water for warm-ups on time. These are the tentative start times. They are subject to change based on our team's warm-up session.
- Friday Evening (Events 101-107) - Warm-ups at 4:00 PM | Meet Starts at 5:30 PM
- Saturday Morning (Events 201-222) - Warm-ups at 7:30 AM | Meet Starts at 9:00 AM
- Saturday Afternoon (Events 223-234) - Warm-ups at 12:00 PM | Meet Starts at 1:00 PM
- Sunday Morning (Events 301-311) - Warm-ups at 8:30 AM | Meet Starts at 10:00 AM
In preparation of the meet, we encourage all swimmers to bring several towels, a wide variety of snacks, water, and lots of warm clothing. The deck will be closed to coaches, swimmers, officials, and volunteers only. Parents and spectators are not allowed on deck. All AquaHawgs are expected to stay in our team area throughout the session. For swimmers on deck, there will be bleachers for them to sit on deck. Parents there is a limited amount of seating in the balcony upstairs. There will be overflow space in the gym with a live feed. If it's crowded, we recommend sitting in the gym and then coming to the balcony for your swimmer’s races.
Finally, there are several hotels in the Benton/Bryant area that are good to stay. In the past our families have had good luck staying at the Fairfield Inn and Holiday Inn Express & Suites. We understand that most families tend to stay with a certain brand of hotels.
