2024 Hawg-A-Thon Announcement

John Moseley

Hello, Razorback Aquatic Club Families,

We are excited to launch our 2024 Hawg-A-Thon.  Razorback Aquatic Club is a 501(C)(3) organization committed to providing swimming opportunities to people of all ages in Northwest Arkansas.  Our goal is to raise $20,000 during the 2024 Hawg-A-Thon.  We really encourage each swimmer to raise $75 towards the 2024 Hawg-A-Thon.

We have created a postcard with a QR code for you to share with grandparents, neighbors, co-workers, and friends. The QR code will take you directly to the AquaHawgs website to donate to the 2024 Hawg-A-Thon.  Next week, we will be sending swimmers home with postcards to hand deliver to anyone interested in donating.

The Distance Day Challenge will be a fun event at the Jones Center on the morning of Saturday, December 14, 2024.  We will have music, breakfast, games, and other fun activities.  Swimmers will be asked to participate in our Distance Day Challenge in lieu of practice.  Distances are as follows…

  • 10 & Under Swimmers - 500 Yards
  • 11-12 Swimmers - 1,000 Yards
  • 13 & Older Swimmers – 1,650 Yards

Distances will be adjusted based on swimmers’ needs and abilities.  If you concerns about the distance, should reach out to their coach.

We will have rewards throughout the Hawg-A-Thon for the swimmers who are the top contributors.  The first chance to be our top contributor will be now through Wednesday, November 20, 2024.  We will also have other small prize days throughout the competition.  The top 3 overall earners, from now until December 14, will receive a prize and be announced at the Distance Day Challenge.

If you have connections for any prizes during the 2024 Hawg-A-Thon or are willing to donate an item to our prize stash, please let Tori Johnson, AquaHawgs Vice President, or myself.

Proceeds from the 2024 Hawg-A-Thon will benefit Razorback Aquatic Club’s Scholarship Program & Equipment Fund.  Last year, we raised over $20,000.  This money helped sponsor 87 swimmers in our Learn-to-Swim, Summer League, and Competitive Team.  We were also able to upgrade a good portion of our dryland equipment and purchase new equipment for our swimmers.

Please reach out if you have any questions.
